Subject: volunteer faq maintainer?

Would someone (or some group) like to maintain a FAQ?

Basically, this would mean
- noticing when a question is asked repeatedly
- writing the answer (or asking me; I'm happy to write the answers)
- posting it periodically
- responding to people who ask FAQ's (as much as possible)

Because I usually read mail only once a day (early in the morning here
on the east coast of the U.S.), it could free up a noticeable amount of
time if people's common questions got answered during the day.  I try to
make sure everyone who asks anything gets some kind of answer, but if
people besides me could help with this, that would be all to the good.

I also almost never read comp.text.tex.  Probably the FAQ would be of
use to be posted there periodically.

One question I have already been asked four times is about the next
version of web2c.  (The answer is in the announcement I just posted --
basically, I don't know.)

If you're interested, I guess you should let me know.  Then I will put
everyone who is interested the list of the other people.  If there's
more than one.

I don't think this would be very time-consuming.
